The long-awaited and even longer delayed Asus Eee PC T91 netbook tablet will hit retail stores in the UK this week, Netbook Choice reports from ASUS UK sources.
The netbook tablet ASUS Eee PC T91 was just launched this July and has hit retail stores in the UK in August. jkkmobile has put up an interesting unboxing video where he unwraps the model.
The T91 is shipped in a purse in a cardboard boxes. The box includes a power adaptor, driver CDs and manual. Interesting is the Synaptics multi-touch pad which has a unique touch texture on it. It runs XP Home and at first boot you will see an introduction video explaining you how the T91 touch interface works. The touch interface works well but the screen is as we knew before, very very glossy. jkkmobile has promised more videos later.
“Whilst still no specific date is being committed too, we were assured that this “late July” timeline was now concrete and they envisaged no more slips. The reason for the delay was being attributed to nailing down the interface and making sure they were 100 percent happy with it before shipping. As this is their first touchscreen net tablet, they cannot afford the negative reaction on an unfinished product.
Asus also confirmed that the Eee PC T101 has slipped down the priority list although it’s still on the company’s roadmap.”
